St. Augustine Parish

Parish Councils

Finance Council

The Finance Council advises the Pastor on financial decisions, reviews the financial condition and results of operations, and establishes a framework for the future strategic planning of the Parish and the Parish School, and consults with the Pastor on other financial matters of the Parish.

Current Parish Finance Council members are:

Pastoral Council

The Pastoral Council assists the pastor in his leadership role. It takes a long-range view of the future needs of the parish and strives to foster unity and a sense of community in the parish. The Council works together with the Pastor to explore ways of improving the faith life of all parishioners.

The council is made up of over a dozen parish members and their job is to advise the pastor on a variety of matters. Each year several new members are elected to the Pastoral Council.

Pastoral Council Election Results

An election was held on the weekend of April 14-15, 2007, and three new members were elected to the Parish Pastoral Council.  They are: Kimberly Deschenes, Janet Duffy and Thomas Reynolds.  Additionally, Claire Bishop was reelected to her second consecutive term on the Council.  We congratulate the winners and welcome them to the Council.  We also want to thank all the candidates for their willingness to participate in this election and to help
make our Parish Pastoral Council truly representative of our parish community.
