St. Augustine Parish

The St. Augustine Senior Ministry was started to provide a service to the oldest and most cherished members of our parish so that they may gather together to socialize.  Some of our seniors are without families and our parish serves as a means to bring them together as part of the larger parish family.

We have other ministries within our parish that support our efforts.  To name a few, we have the Religious Education confirmation students who participate in our scheduled events and socialize with the seniors and help to serve and prepare the food.  We have our Nursing Ministry which provides blood pressure checks.  The Helping Hands Ministry provides shawls for seniors in need of comfort.  We also have wonderful parishioners who help in this ministry because they realize how important it is to help our seniors.  Nobody should feel alone or unwanted.

• First Friday Luncheons with St. Augustine School students after the 10:30 Mass in the Center for Education and Ministry
