Social Justice

“Whatever you do for the least of my brothers and sisters, you do for me.” (Matthew 25:40)
At St. Augustine parish there is a ministry for actively putting into practice each of the corporal works of mercy:

  • To feed the hungry
  • To give drink to the thirsty
  • To clothe the naked
  • To harbour the harbourless
  • To visit the sick
  • To ransom the captive
  • To bury the dead

Those ministries dedicated specifically to service are the Bereavement Ministry, Bread and Roses, the Knights of Columbus, Helping Hands, the Parish Nurses, the Pro-Life Ministry and St. Vincent de Paul Society.
