Catechesis (from the Greek word katēkhēsis meaning “instruction by word of mouth”) is the act of handing on the Word of God so as to inform the faith community about the teachings of Christ. It is a lifelong process of forming people into witnesses to Christ and opening their hearts to the spiritual transformation given by the Holy Spirit. As adults, we all seek to deepen our love of Christ.
We offer a variety of programs from September through May including both short and in-depth Scripture Studies with an emphasis on understanding how Sacred Scripture applies to living our Christian faith in today's world. We also offer seasonal retreats and thematic small-group faith sharing. Information about upcoming programs can be found here and in our regular communications such as the weekly bulletin and e-news or by contacting Danette at dmorris@staugustineparish.org
