Welcome to our Youth Faith Formation Program. We’re delighted you’ve chosen to take this important step in your child’s faith journey. Along with our lessons, we encourage all families to attend Mass regularly—please join us for the 9:30 Family Mass or the 5:30 Teen/Community Mass (or any Mass that fits your schedule).
We warmly invite parents to be part of their child’s learning by helping with at-home assignments, praying together each day, and using the Word of Life portal to stay connected with lesson materials and resources. Your involvement helps your child see faith as an important part of everyday family life and deepens the lessons they learn in class.
We are excited to introduce the Word of Life curriculum this fall. Word of Life is a faith-filled program designed to help children deepen their relationship with God and discover the presence of Christ in their daily lives. Through engaging lessons rooted in Sacred Scripture and Catholic tradition, students will grow in faith, prayer, and understanding as members of the Church.
First Grade
God’s Promise of a Savior
Your child will discover the story of God’s love for His people and His promise to send a Savior. Through the story of salvation history, students begin to understand how God prepared the world for Jesus Christ, who saves us from sin and invites us into the life of His Church.
The children will also learn the “Sign of the Cross”, the “Lord’s Prayer”, “Hail Mary”, and “Glory Be”.

Second Grade
God’s Presence in the Sacraments
As your child prepares for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, they will deepen their understanding of God’s plan of salvation. Students learn how Jesus fulfills God’s promises, institutes the sacraments, and offers the grace that helps us grow in holiness.
The children will review and continue to practice the “Sign of the Cross”, the “Lord’s Prayer”, “Hail Mary”, and “Glory Be”. Prior to their First Reconciliation, the children will become familiar with the Act of Contrition.
Since this is a sacramental year, we ask that your child tries to attend all scheduled classes.
Prior to receiving their First Holy Communion, your child will practice receiving unconsecrated hosts. If your child is gluten intolerant, please let me know as soon as possible as the hosts contains a small amount of gluten.

Third Grade
The Holy Spirit and the Life of Grace
Your child will learn that God created us for a loving relationship with Him and with one another. Students discover that true happiness comes from living in God’s grace and that He always invites us back to Him through His mercy when we turn away.

Fourth Grade
The Creed—Truth and Our Response of Faith
Your child will explore the core beliefs of the Catholic faith as expressed in the creeds. Students come to understand that these truths are revealed by God, fulfilled in Jesus Christ, and lived out each day through faith, courage, and love.

Liturgy and Worship
Your child will grow in appreciation for the Church’s worship and the beauty of the liturgy. Students learn how the sacraments and the liturgical life of the Church unite us to Christ and strengthen us to live as His disciples.

The Word of God—Jesus Christ and Sacred Scripture
Your child will explore the richness of Sacred Scripture, discovering the story of God’s saving plan from Genesis to Revelation. Students see how the Old Testament points to Jesus Christ and how He fulfills God’s promises as the Alpha and the Omega.

Seventh Grade
Jesus Christ and the Call to Discipleship
Your child will reflect on what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life. Through the Gospel of Mark, students encounter Christ and His first disciples, learning that true joy and purpose are found in living as His faithful disciples.
