Lent gives us the opportunity to cultivate a spirit of generosity.
It is our response to the teachings of Jesus that encourages us to reach out to people in need with goods to the poor, donating money or performing acts of charity.

Family Fasting Days

February 14- March 25th
Benefiting Mary's Meals, Lazarus House, & Bread and Roses

Our Religious Education program is inviting parishioners to join their students in this project that practices prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
Donate the cost of those enjoyable favorite foods and activities that you will be abstaining from during lent. Place those funds in a paper lunch bag (from home or can be picked up at the back of the church) and return with the money saved and write on the back of the bag what was done to produce the savings.  Draw a heart and cross on the front and write Family Fasting Days.
Bring your paper bag to the parish center during business hours M-F: 9-2:30pm attention to a religious education staff member.

Pray everyday during lent, keeping in mind all the children in the world who may be going hungry.
