Pope Francis has declared a Year of St. Joseph from December 8th, 2020 to December 8th, 2021 inviting the faithful to a greater understanding and devotion to this saint who was chosen by God to be a provider and watchful protector of Jesus and Mary. During this year we are invited to embrace St. Joseph as a spiritual father who provides protection and guidance to his children, especially in times of great need.

Fr. David Calloway, MIC (Marians of the Immaculate Conception) has created an initiative for a worldwide consecration to St. Joseph to take place on two of his feast days – the first on March 19th, the Solemnity of St. Joseph and the second on May 1st, the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker. For complete information visit StJosephNow.org.

The Consecration is open to anyone by signing up at the website listed above. Here at St. Augustine we are inviting parishioners to join us for a spiritual retreat to culminate in the Consecration on May 1st. The retreat consists of daily private reflections and an option to participate in six weekly small group sessions via Zoom beginning Wednesday, March 24th at 6pm.

If you are interested in joining us, please email Cheryl Germino or Danette Morris for a link to the meetings. There is a book, Consecration to St. Joseph, which we will use as a guide for the reflections. It is available at StJosephNow or Amazon.
